The negative comments from my focus group all picked up on the same points e.g the lip synching was off in a few places and the narrative definitely needed to be clarified by the ending shot of the Father and daughter together. The feedback I received from Becky said that she thought the black and white symbolised death. This could be a problem throughout the video; however, the ambiguity of the narrative could be effective as the audience is guessing until the ending shot. This fits in with Barthes theory as the video is a puzzle for them to figure out. The focus group also picked up on the fact that the video had multiple film aspects - this is what I wanted to achieve as Buckingham's theory states that genres are 'constantly evolving.' Therefore the film-like aspects is an entropic element to my genre.
