The front cover for my digipak will feature a medium close up of the artist. This will ensure that the audience will be able to establish his brand identity. The performer will also have a non-descript facial expression; this will connote a seriousness, as well as resembling the main single. The title of the album will be placed top-centre, with a larger font - this is so that the audience can immediately see the name of the album above others if it it placed on a shelf. The name of the artist will be placed underneath, just above his image. The only other writing on the front will be 'Available to download on iTunes now.' The background colour will be black which connotes power and will also help the text to stand out. A colour scheme will be emerging from behind the artist in order to emphasise his brand identity.
The CD part of the digipak will have a dark background with blurred fairy-lights. I have chosen to use the fairy-lights as they feature in our video and connote a warmth and intimacy. The CD will have branches featured on it to symbolise a natural element which is a common feature within our chosen genre.
A large image of the performer walking through woodland will appear on the top left page - the sun will be shown glaring through the trees and slightly onto the performer. Again the sun connotes warmth - which is how I want the audience to relate my artist and the digipak. By using a woodland image, it will illustrate what we have filmed in our music video. It will also create a continuity within my digipak, as branches are featured on the CD.
There will be 10 tracks listed on the back of the digipak, they will be central and have a larger text than the other imformation. This is because the track listing is of a higher importance and interest than the other components; such as: barcode, website, price and record label. The same colours that will be featured on the front of the digipak will also merge in from each of the four corners on the back.
